Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice.

I would like to take the opportunity to get you up to date with where we are in our Faith For The Future financial campaign. Up to this point everything has been in the planning stages. We have elected our steering committee and they have each been collecting their teams so that we can begin this campaign process. Up to this point, no events have actually taken place. So this is a great time to ask you to begin to make prayer a real priority in your life. The future of Center Pointe is bright because it is firmly within the hands of God. God has told us in Jer. 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." With God in charge, how can we go wrong. But you can rest assured Satan will do what he can to see that things go wrong. Whenever money is a topic, it seems that we begin to get nervous and lose our ability to trust. But it's at times like these that trusting God is most important. God knows our weaknesses and has promised to be strong at these times. You may have noticed that our theme is not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice. Everyone is not able to give the same dollar amount, but everyone is able to sacrifice equally. As your pastor, I am asking you to keep your minds clean, your conversation clean and your hearts uncluttered. Be positive as we approach our future. I know the unknown is scary, but God is the Lord of the unknown and rest assured He is still on His throne! - Pastor Rick

From the Program Director
We have talked about "Faith for the Future" for years and it has always been a dream, but now with your help it can be become a reality. Our church is about to begin a 3 year financial campaign to be able to build a new church building. It is not fun talking about money but it is necessary for us to move forward. In order to obtain the loan we have to present a financial plan to the bank and show them that we have the financial support of our church family. We have organized many teams to involve the entire church to help accomplish this goal. Your team leaders are; James Bratcher, Royce McClain, Angie Craft, Trip Still, Peg Harvard, Vickie McClain, Marie Roland & Lara Still. These teams will be working together and with the entire church family to help reach our first goal of $125,000, our second goal of $250,000 and our 3rd goal of $500,000 over the next 3 years. I know within my heart that we can meet or exceed these goals. We ask that each person pray together to seek God's direction for your financial contribution. We cannot do this alone and need each one of your prayers, commitment & support to make this dream come true. I am very excited about Center Pointe's future and our "Faith for the Future" campaign. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any of the team leaders, Pastor Rick or myself.

From the Program Secretary
As part of the Steering Committee, I would like to let you know a little about my position as Program Secretary. I will be collecting and updating addresses and contact information so that you as a church can be informed of all we are doing. Also, I can keep you up to date on all plans and goals.

Be sure to complete the insert on the information table and drop it in the box so you will be included in all future newsletters and mailings.
