   Wednesday Night Activities
 Please note that on Wed., Aug. 4, all activities will be cancelled as school resumes. On the following Wed., Aug. 11 - we will resume regular Wednesday night activities.

Man’s Breakfast
 Gentlemen, join us for breakfast Sunday morning, August 15, at 8 a.m. here at the church for breakfast and fellowship.
Center Pointe on Facebook
Center Pointe Church is now on Facebook. Everyone join our group. Become our friend. Together we will share our thoughts, prayer requests, announcements and just "hang out" to get to know each other better. It is a great way to interact, share your favorite scripture or just let us know what the Lord doing in your life. Everyone join us and make new friends on our Facebook Group.
  
Nursery News
Linda Schultheis is now leading the nursery and will be in charge of the schedule. She has it worked out now that we will be on a 3 month rotation. We will have a schedule on the information table as well as hanging in the nursery so you can easily see who will be in there each Sunday. If you are not on this list and wish to be please see Linda and she will add you to it. The more people we have on this rotation the less often everyone has to miss a service. Thank you so much for all of you that teach a class on Sunday and Wed. You are very appreciated. You can see Louis or Kristi Smith if have any questions about the children's ministry. Prayer Chain
We have started a church-wide prayer chain here at Center Pointe. If you want to be a part of this exciting ministry, there will be a sign-up sheet at the Information Table. James Bratcher, who is head of the Prayer Team, will have more information.
NURSERY/CHILDREN'S WORKERS NEEDED:
We need people to volunteer to work in the nursery on Sunday morning. We are in the process of changing some things around beginning in January and need more adults to be willing to help. We also need help in the older classrooms if you are more interested in that age group. If you are interested in helping please see Vickie McClain or Kristi Smith.
Church Directory Addendum
 We are taking photos before and after church services on Sundays for our Directory Addendum. Photography will start at 9:45 am to 10:20 am, and for a half hour after church service is finished. There will be a sign-up sheet on the info table for you to sign up to have your photos taken if you haven't already done so. Please see Ginny Oxford for more information.

Bible Study
A Bible Study for Men and Women is held on Wednesday Nights at 6:30 at Barbara Malcom and Greg Malcom's home. There is a sign up sheet on the info table. For directions, call 706-752-1106 or 706-338-4297.

Heart Ministry
Heart Ministry, located in Lavonia Georgia, is a social facility offered to women where they can live for up to 8 weeks. There they are offered an atmosphere of Christian love and go through the 12 Steps of Recovery and participate in group and individual counseling. They also attend Bible study and the AA Na meetings each week. At the present time Heart is in need of supplies. If you would like to contribute contact Lisa Cronic @ (706) 474-6315. Want to be Blessed?
Malachi 3:10 - "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."
You know I am not an investment banker by any means but if someone I completely trusted came up to me and said these words I think I would give it a try. For four weeks we are "testing" God to see if He will keep His word. Want in on it? Start this week and trust Him for four weeks and get these results for yourself.

 Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery meets every Monday evening at 6 p.m. Dinner starts at 6 and costs $4 for adults and $2 for children under 18. At 6:45 p.m. praise and worship starts off the meeting and ends at 8:30 p.m. with the Solid Rock Cafe. Celebrate Recovery needs your help with nursery from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. once per month, and also needs help in Real Life with the young men. If you can help in any of these areas, please see Tim Ferguson or Linda Bratcher (nursery).

      Children's Ministry
For the safety of our children no adults, other than workers, or older children will be permitted into the Nursery / Wild Life Areas. Please sign your child in at the nursery, Wild Life Check in Center. Be sure to label diaper bags, bottles or cups at Check - In. Labels will be provided for your convenience.

Virtue of the Month
We believe that all children need to know:1) There is a really big God that can be trusted no matter what; 2) Someone else believes what they believe; 3)Another voice is saying what their parents are saying; 4)They have "nosey" parents who make it their business to know where they are spiritually; and 5) It takes uncommon sense to make a wise choice.
In 100 years, all that will matter is the relationship my child and I have with Jesus Christ.

 KAOS Help Needed
KAOS meets on Wednesday nights for kids in the third through fifth grades from 6:30 to 8 p.m. We need help from parents to sign up for food for the meetings on Wednesday nights. Signup sheet is on the Information Table. Thanks!

Youth Food Help Needed
We need volunteers to bring food for the KAOS & Youth on Wednesday nights. There will be a sign up sheet on the information table for those who wish to help out with this ministry. For more information, see Lara Still or Cindy Ferguson.

Real Life
Ask yourself the question: "Without ______ I'm not sure I would have made it through my teenage years." Young people need a caring adult with compassion to help them. Monday nights at CPC are already exciting with Celebrate Recovery - but it's about to get even better with the beginning of a new ministry for the children of the Celebrate Recovery participants. This ministry is called Real Life. The first few months of RL will be devoted to a curriculum called "Life Hurts, God Heals." We need servants who have skill's passion, or experience in working with youth. We're looking for volunteers to serve one Monday night a month with a 6 month commitment. This is a great opportunity to serve the Lord and help young people. If you feel that God is leading you to help the RL ministry, please contact Mary Jo Hamilton.

Men's Morning Bible Study
We now have a men's Bible study every Tuesday morning at 9:00 at Ye Olde Colonial. All men who can attend are welcome.

Celebrate Recovery
Anyone interested in being a part of a Christian based recovery program or with 12- step experience is invited. Our orientation meetings will be held every Monday night. More info in the Ministries section of this site. For more information contact Mary Jo Hamilton.

Sunday Morning Prayer Team
The CPC Prayer Team meets every Sunday morning in the Church Office. Please see James Bratcher if you wish to be a part of the team. If you have a prayer request, please call James at 706-557-2536.

Message CD's
Did the message minister to you Sunday? If so, you may order a CD copy of the message on the Sign-Up sheet at the Information Table after the service. If you would like a copy of previous messages, see Wanda Harvard who can help you with that also. CDs are $2 each. If you know someone who is not able to attend for health reasons, we ask that you would take them a CD of Sunday's message at no cost.
